Nitro CircusNitro Circus revolves around the world's greatest freestyle motocross rider Travis Pastrana and his crew of top action sport athlete buddies and enablers. Imagine if Evel Knievel and eight of his equally insane buddies had a television show where they tried to top each other's stunts week after week. That's Nitro Circus. Whether they are trying to back-flip a motorcycle over a ravine, jump out of a plane without a parachute, or jump a Big Wheel 40-feet into the air into a crowded boat dock, Travis and his gang of nuts are going at it hard, 24/7, and there is no downtime -- it's just fast, faster and disaster. The Nitro Circus crew is a group of tight-knit, highly-skilled, adrenalin-addicted friends always take the action "to 11" with the hammer down. There's Gregg Godfrey, who is the resident film director, although he's often in on the action, too, while Tenacious J is the house producer and schizophrenic. Like Pastrana, Ronnie Renner is a well-known action sports icon with a sense of humor and amazing skills. Scott "Plamer" Palmer is Pastrana's skydiving guru, Erik "Rubberneck" Roner is a world-class extreme skier and BASE jumper and Jolene Van Vugt is the sole female who can hold her own on a bike among this crew. Oh, and there's also Streetbike Tommy Passamonte, a fat, lazy construction worker whose a friend of Pastrana's. His desperate desire to be like the others combined with a lack of skill for the stunts they perfect, provides a lot of comic relief for the Nitro Circus crew. Even Travis's family gets in on the action on Nitro Circus. His father, a former Marine Drill Sergeant, is sometimes around to offer some "encouraging words" to whoever is in earshot. Dad Pastrana attempted to teach his nephew (Travis's cousin) Special Gregg a thing or two about boxing (with not-so-mixed results), and just this past Mother's Day Travis back-flipped a motorcycle into a foam pit with his mom on the front handlebars. Whether they are shooting at the Nitro Circus compound, Pastrana's house or in another country, this crew is seeking thrills and laughs that most people would never even dream about. These guys are crazy. Don't try this at home. (Source: MTV)
